For reading we are learning how to summarise. When you summarise you say the main point in your own words but shorter.
We were reading about Maori healing plants. I learnt that harakeke can be used for sore backs. We summarised what we read and now we are making signs to put in our native garden to show people what the trees are and what they heal.
This is my writing but I did not get it done because I was to busy talking but I should of done it but next time I will.
Kia Ora Fynley,
ReplyDeleteGood to see your Harakeke work up on your blog. I enjoyed discussing your learning in class and how people use Harakeke for many other things too, not just medicinal use.
I forgot to tell you when we go hunting if there is flax around and we have forgotten our ties, we thin the harakeke down to use it for ties, to tie the pigs trotters up to make it into a backpack.
Can you think of any other uses you could use it for when out hunting?
Hope you're having a safe and happy lockdown and look forward to seeing more of your work online.
Mā te wā
Miss Mikayla.
i love it fynley
